I was blessed with straight teeth, and fortunately didn’t have to exile my pearly whites to years behind bars. As a result, my love for corn has remained strong and every summer when corn is in season, I fully embrace it!

This is one of those “non-recipe” recipes, where I just toss a bunch of ingredients on something until i’m satisfied! Those are the best kind of recipes anyways, right?
Now you may have noticed this isn’t actually a pizza, more a faux-pizza, using delicious toppings you might find on a pizza but rather than pizza dough, I use a portobello mushroom! Low-carb and delicious, not that I particularly care about low-carb, but I DO care about delicious!

My family has always been big on leftovers, and as a result I embrace the ability to re-purpose yesterdays meal into something new and delicious! More often than not, it’s something simple like a sandwich or quesadilla, but depending on what you’re left with you can make some pretty awesome meals! In this case, after a work related function, my mom was left with a bunch of roast beef and potatoes, which became this delicious twice baked potato!
Scouring my fridge for complementary ingredients, I found blue cheese and mushrooms, which goes great with both roast beef and potatoes! Combine all of those things together and you have a great side dish or appetizer for your dinner!

Thanks to my dad’s rigorous tournament fishing schedule every summer, my family did a LOT of camping, going nearly every weekend! As such, I have many fond memories growing up that revolve around our camping expeditions. Singing “Down by the Bay” as many times as possible to annoy Carlene, making every funny face I could think of while driving to annoy Carlene, “accidentally” crossing over “The Line” of the backseat to annoy Carlene… Okay so you get it, I spent a lot of time trying to annoy my sister!

Anybody else out there enjoy the awkward and hilarious online cooking show made by food blog Bon Appetempt? About two months ago, I was going on a 3AM Vimeo food video binge when I came across Bon Appetempt’s “30-Minute Meal?” video. Shortly after discovering Bon Appetempt, I began watching their videos and not so shortly after, I had finished all of them. They are awesome. Go see for yourself!

In a continuation of my previous post for Baked French Fries I present to you the always delicious Poutine! This is super easy to make, and I know some of you will shame me for not using REAL gravy, but I gotta say, that salty, delicious instant gravy tastes wonderful on these fries. Guilty pleasure? Maybe.
Anyways, you can’t beat the speed of this one. Baked french fries to Poutine in like 5 minutes! Sounds good to me!
This is more of a guideline than a recipe, because well, who am I to tell you how much gravy and cheese curds you should be putting on your fries!
Bake some fries first, and proceed to recipe!

Anyone who buys those bags of frozen french fries is just cheating themselves. Especially if you have potatoes in your cupboard. These things are so simple, so delicious, and just look at how beautiful they are! Your frozen potato sticks don’t come close! Grab a russet potato, slice it up, bake it and feel the guilt wash away as you eat these non-deep fried homemade beauties (and then feel guilty as you realize you just ate a ton…oops!). Stay tuned for a much less guilt-free recipe coming in the next day or two using these tasty things! (can you guess what it might be??)

A Kevin O’Leary inspired recipe, a strange thing you might think? Turns out he provided great inspiration for this tasty dish!
This is what we know about Kevin.
- He can be a little full of himself from time to time…
- He certainly “brings the heat” to hopeful entrepreneurs
- He is all about the “green” (a.k.a $$$$)
- His favourite restaurant in Toronto serves Italian food
- He is a wine connoisseur
Well it’s obvious isn’t it?! We need to make an appetizer that’s full of itself, can handle the heat, is green, perhaps Italian, and maybe even has some wine in it! So it came to be, The Kevin O’Leary, a.k.a Deep Fried Ravioli Stuffed with Spinach & Ricotta, served with a Spicy Tomato Sauce!

I’ve been Pinterest plagued again…. My Pinterest wall has become overloaded with delicious looking recipes for Roasted Chickpeas. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love pulses, so after seeing so many recipes I knew I had to give some a whirl. I settled on a mild spice, paprika and some garlic and shallot olive oil. And wow these were great – the perfect amount of crunch for a really delightful snack. Let’s get to this recipe…. Continue reading

Great served at a party with some plain chips and best of all, it’s quick and easy to make.
