As many of you may have already read from Bob’s Beer Can Chicken post, we were recently back on CTV Morning Live with our good friend and fabulous anchor (and apparently my twin – as I was stopped at a local coffee shop later that afternoon asking if I co-hosted the morning news!), Stephanie Massicotte. Bob covered the savoury dish with his chicken, so I was back tackling the sweets with these ice cream tacos. These tacos are so fun and simple, so don’t hold back the reins. Be fully creative and see what kind of ice cream tacos your imagination can come up with! Read on for the easy, and kid friendly, recipe.

This stuff is like spreading crack on your biscuits. It may become very difficult to stop eating whatever is lucky enough to be lathered in this delicious “butter”! You could just spread butter on your bread, then honey, and sprinkle cinnamon after, but why not just take a second, whip all this together into one delicious spread?
I highly recommend it.

I’ve been having the oatmeal cravings like mad lately. Perhaps it has something to do with the winter and feeling the need for a hearty/healthy breakfast, or maybe it’s because I keep seeing little mason jars filled with oatmeal and other wonderful things online? Just look at that beautiful little jar of goodness! I just want to dig my spoon in right now.
Thanks to my latest Tablespoon.com video project “How to Seed a Pomegranate”, I had an abundance of pomegranate seeds that needed to be used up and this seemed like the perfect opportunity!

The essence of camping is all about forgetting those modern day conveniences, “roughing it”, and getting back to the basics! Of course, this doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a delicious dessert! Through the miracle that is aluminum foil, we open up a whole world of delicious campfire delicacies, one of those being Apple Crisp!

I had this for breakfast…don’t judge me.
Come on, it’s not that bad, plenty of dairy, fruit, some carbs, a little sugar to get that blood pressure up, add in a cup off coffee and you’re ready for an epic day.

The day has arrived. The day I venture into the uncharted waters of grilled cheese sandwiches. Bob is the leader of the grilled cheese nation, so it’s time I join forces with him with my first creation: The Breakfast Brie & Pear Grilled Cheese Sandwich. I’m not going to lie, I was pretty nervous. Bob’s the master of grilled cheese with creative recipes, beautiful photos and his grilled cheese sandwiches taste as amazing as they look. But there is no better time then the present to jump right in, so let’s get to my first EVER grilled cheese on BS’ in the Kitchen! Continue reading

I’ve always really liked carrot cake, but I’ve never actually made it before. This is likely because it’s one of my grandma’s specialities. However the calling came for a traditional dessert for a family dinner, I decided to give it a whirl and I’m quite happy with the results! It’s a classic homemade carrot cake that’s promised to make everyone happy. Continue reading

I’ve been looking for a solid breakfast oatmeal pie recipe for a while ever since trying it at our local farmer’s market. After stumbling across this recipe on Pinterest, I knew I had to give it a whirl. I changed it quite a bit, using the Pinterest recipe more so as a platform to create a fall inspired breakfast pie. Now let’s get to the recipe! Continue reading
Since Bob and I have had the blog, I’ve made these cinnamon buns a few times, but just never took photos. Largely due to the fact that they are incredibly time consuming and by the end you either a) just want to sleep or b) want to eat them all! But there is one thing I can guarantee with these cinnamon buns: This will become your favourite recipe for cinnamon buns! Speaking of time, let’s not waist anymore and get cracking on the recipe.
One of my good, long-term friends recently celebrated his 26th birthday so I decided that I should make him some special cupcakes. While he originally requested Mancakes, I had just made them so I wanted to make something a bit different. So with a recent suggestion from another friend, we decided that Cinnamon Toast Crunch cupcakes would be equally as awesome! Let me tell you – these little babies are packed FULL of flavour and actually taste like the childhood favourite cereal. So go ahead and make these babies – I double dog dare ya’ too! Continue reading
