Themed cooking seems to be our TV calling and this time it was all in the spirit of luuuuurve for Valentine’s Day or Singles Awareness Day – however you choose to celebrate it. So what says love better than two perfect little red velvet whoopie pie cookies sandwiched together with the love of a cream cheese filling! You can even oomph up the love factor and cut them into adorable little hearts (*insert ‘awwww’ or ‘gag’ here*) Mmmmm…. either way, red velvet just sounds just delightful to me! Special Delivery From Crave Cupcakes Saskatoon for Valentine’s Day

So I have to admit – this was probably one of the best surprises I’ve received in a long time – if not the best surprise I’ve ever recieved! What is the surprise you ask? While at work this week, I got called to the front desk and waiting for me was a gift from Crave Cupcakes. Now, this wasn’t just a cupcake or two… no it was a whole loot from Crave with all their Valentine’s Day goodies. I was so pumped to get these home and sample them! If anyone has ever had a mentor, they know they are completely invaluable and probably the best thing since sliced bread (Capital G, L & K if you’re reading this – this means you!!). I’ve never really had a cooking mentor (if you don’t count my grandma), but I’ve recently met one. But he’s more like an Iron Chef – always pushing innovative ideas for food and makes you want to cook fancy food all the time. So this post is for you Beets – or is a Iron Chef CB a better blog name?
