Breakfast Pizza

Breakfast Pizza | bsinthekitchen.com #pizza #breakfast #bsinthekitchen

The Breakfast Pizza – the end of a trilogy! This also marks the 4th day in a row that I have eaten pizza. I can’t complain though, pizza is a wonderfully balanced meal in my eyes (and stomach)!

I figured it was time to try making a breakfast pizza, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Not only did it gift my nostrils with the pleasant aroma of my breakfast favourites, the flavour was wonderful! Combining breakfast classics onto thin, airy pizza crust, how could you go wrong? Well you can’t! Unless you burn it of course…

Green Onion Parmesan Crepes with Ricotta, Spinach, Bacon & Mushroom Filling | bsinthekitchen.com #crepes #breakfast #bsinthekitchen

Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and so is another BS’ in the Kitchen CTV Morning Live – Saskatoon appearance! This time, we have settled on the theme of “Breakfast in Bed” for our Mother’s Day special! After discussing it with Carlene, we decided crepes would be the way to go. Carlene is going to be cooking up some sweet red velvet crepes, and since not all mothers have a breakfast sweet tooth, I decided to make a savoury crepe recipe!

Scalloped Potato Grilled Cheese

Scalloped Potato Grilled Cheese | bsinthekitchen.com #grilledcheese #sandwich #bsinthekitchen

Mmmm mmmm mmM! What a grilled cheese! Gooey cheese, crunchy potatoes, all my favourite parts of scalloped potatoes, in my favourite kind of sandwich! I gotta say potatoes certainly do go well in grilled cheese sandwiches (see Baked Potato Grilled Cheese). Now for me, the best part of scalloped potatoes is the crunchy potatoes you get on the side and the top, so that’s what I was looking to emphasize (and boy did I ever!). If you love the creaminess of scalloped potatoes, all you have to do is either, cook the potatoes less, so they’re not as crunchy, or boil down a quick creamy sauce with milk, butter, and flour to go in the grilled cheese. I almost want to make another right now just to try a saucier version!

Baked French Fry Poutine

Baked French Fry Poutine | bsinthekitchen.com #poutine #frenchfries #bsinthekitchen

In a continuation of my previous post for Baked French Fries I present to you the always delicious Poutine! This is super easy to make, and I know some of you will shame me for not using REAL gravy, but I gotta say, that salty, delicious instant gravy tastes wonderful on these fries. Guilty pleasure? Maybe.

Anyways, you can’t beat the speed of this one. Baked french fries to Poutine in like 5 minutes! Sounds good to me!

This is more of a guideline than a recipe, because well, who am I to tell you how much gravy and cheese curds you should be putting on your fries!

Bake some fries first, and proceed to recipe!

They are DEELISH!
