Caramel Apple & Brie Grilled Cheese

Caramel Apple Brie Grilled Cheese | bsinthekitchen.com #grilledcheese #brie #bsinthekitchen

I had this for breakfast…don’t judge me.

Come on, it’s not that bad, plenty of dairy, fruit, some carbs, a little sugar to get that blood pressure up, add in a cup off ¬†coffee and you’re ready for an epic day.

Soft Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

I have something to admit, last winter I tried making sugar cookies and failed miserably. I’m not talking “just didn’t turn out”, I’m talking “wouldn’t hold a shape, crumbled everywhere and generally tasted like crap”. After that little experience, sugar cookies have made me a bit nervous. Almost egg white nervous….yes, it really was that bad. But what better way to get over your fears then to jump right back in the saddle! I found this recipe online, added my own twists to it then took it for a test drive, and am I ever happy I did! This is now my staple sugar cookie recipe – the cookies are light, soft, fluffy, easy to roll & cut with cookie cutters and have great flavour. In true BS fashion, let’s get to the recipe. Continue reading

Hearty Quinoa Breakfast Cereal

Before eating this creation, I never thought of quinoa to be a breakfast food, to me it was just a salad adder or rice replacement. But long behold it can be quite delicious for breakfast!! This early morning meal is hearty, packed with healthy options and seems very ‘fall-like’ to me! To make things even quicker in the morning, I made the quinoa the night before and tossed in the ‘extras’ in the morning! Don’t be afraid to alter this recipe to your taste, adding more fruit and nuts, other spices, etc. Remember, it’s your breakfast!! :) Let’s get to the recipe:
