This summer has definitely been the summer of weddings  - and especially August with a wedding/wedding event every single weekend. Two of my good friends, Lauren and Jerrod, got married this weekend at our family acreage. It was definitely a special wedding! For Lauren’s bridal shower, I was assigned to cupcake duty and chose to make Lauren’s favourite flavour: Vanilla Confetti Cupcakes. It seems like I’m getting to that age where a lot of my good friends are getting engaged – wait, does this mean I’m getting old?? Ekkk… Let’s hope not. I suppose I’m coming to that age where people start settling down and getting married. Last night I attended the stagette of a fellow team member on my basketball team, for the sake of the internet & internet creepers, we’ll call her Lady Roch (we’ll just avoid that high school nickname…if you really want to know it, trace back a few years in the paper haha). As stagettes are commonly filled with male anatomy, food and booze, I thought what better to bring that booze flavored cupcakes and a delicious appetizer of brie cheese and mango chutney (watch for another post in the near future).
