Italian Salsa Verde

This versatile sauce has a citrus, peppery bite that goes great with just about any meat and tastes great as a dipping sauce for bread!
  • 1 garlic clove
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • zest of ½ a lemon
  • juice of ½ a lemon
  • ¾ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ¾ cup (packed) chopped Italian parsley
  • 1 tbsp capers
  • ¼ tsp anchovy paste
  1. Combine all ingredients (except olive oil) in a food processor.
  2. Process until mixed and finely chopped.
  3. Add olive oil, process until mixed.
  4. Taste, add more salt,pepper or lemon juice if desired.
