So I have to quickly rant about the cooking blog world… traditionally the blog world is excellent, if not amazing for having award winning, lip smacking, belly filling recipes for everything under the sun, however, there seems to be one common area missing: Unique, Fun & Easy Camping Recipes…..
So stay tuned BS’ers… I’m hoping to find some great recipes to share with the blog world! In the mean time, anyone have any great camping recipes?

I usually cook the corn still in the husk in foil-it is hard to say how long…you have to periodically check the kernels to see when they are done.

For dessert (I know these have a name, but I don’t know what it is)…
Peel one section of a banana back and cut a wedge out of the banana. Fill it with a little bit of peanut butter and milk chocolate chips. Wrap the banana in tin foil, and put it over the fire to melt the chocolate… SOOOO GOOD!!
Also, just read this one in a magazine.
6″ wheat tortilla
milk chocolate chips
marshmallows
Fill half the tortilla with chips and marshmallows… fold over and cook it on the grate of the camp fire. Kind of like a s’more, but bigger, and probably just a touch less messy to eat!
Keep the great recipes coming Carlene!!

I usually cook the corn still in the husk in foil-it is hard to say how long…you have to periodically check the kernels to see when they are done. Sorry I don’t have more details than that. As far as the elephant garlic, I cook it whole in the foil…it is done when it is soft, buttery, and sweet to taste.

I have some simple ideas that are yummy…..corn on the cob wrapped in foil and cooked right in the fire. Also, elephant garlic wrapped in foil and cooked in the fire is really good too.
