Grilled Cheese & Caramelized Apples Sandwich

November 7, 2010 by bsinthekitchen

This is a sandwich I have been meaning to blog for awhile. A slight twist on the classic grilled cheese sandwich, adding candied apples. Now some people may scoff at the idea of a grilled cheese and apple sandwich, and some know better and have experienced this delightful meal!

To make it, just prepare your classic grilled cheese, but slice some apples up and cook them with brown sugar in a pan until desired tenderness and just slip them in between the cheese slices of your sandwich. After that, continue with your typical grilled cheese making methods (in my case I used my Cuisinart Grill) and enjoy!

The apples are actually just fried in a pan with some butter and brown sugar
