In an effort to sate my girlfriends serious addiction to Starbuck’s Earl Grey Tea Lattes I set out to see if I could easily (and cheaply) make them at home. Since I don’t own anything with a milk steamer I was unsure how this would work out, but I made do!
Earl Grey Tea Latte
- ½ Mug of Milk (2%)
- ½ Mug of Water
- 2 Tsp Torani Vanilla Syrup
- 1 Twinnings Earl Grey Teabag
These are very easy to make, first fill your mug halfway with boiled water, add 2 teaspoons of vanilla (more if you like it sweeter!) and steep your teabag for about 3 minutes. While the tea is steeping, microwave your milk for two minutes. Once the milk is done use a milk frother for about 10-20 seconds to get a nice foam and pour into the tea and voila! You have your Earl Grey Tea Latte! If you don’t have anything to foam the milk, no biggie, I’m sure it would taste just fine, you just won’t have any foam!
Hope you enjoy this much cheaper and equally tasty version of Starbuck’s Earl Grey Tea Latte.
