Steak & Potato Barbecued Grilled Cheese

Let’s start off by saying WOOOOOOWWW. This latest grilled cheese creation is absolutely amazing and dare I say the best one yet?? First off, I grilled it on the barbecue, so that alone is a game changer, and second, it contains amazing ingredients from my previous grilled cheeses like potatoes, chives and caramelized onions, but adds juicy steak and provolone cheese into the mix! Seriously, this is like a steak sandwich on steroids! The idea came about while at work, as I was discussing my next grilled cheese prospect with my co-worker and friend of many years, Brett T. I had decided my next creation was going to be a barbecued grilled cheese, when Brett threw it out there…STEAK & POTATO GRILLED CHEESE.

The room was silent.

Not really…But I knew this was going down as soon as possible. The wheels started turning as I began envisioning how this behemoth of a grilled/BBQ’d cheese sandwich was going to come together, here is what I came up with.

Loaded Portobello Mushroom

It’s time for another portobello recipe! This one is real easy and a great healthy platform for all those wonderful things you put on a loaded baked potato (which may not be so healthy!). I’m pretty sure you could put sour cream, bacon, chives and cheese on anything and it would taste awesome, so this was a no-brainer!

Date Night Dinner Menu | Salmon with a Mustard Dill Sauce and Scalloped Potatoes

It’s hard to believe that another Valentine’s Day (or as I like to call it: Singles Awareness Day) has come and gone. This year, a good friend of mine, Chantal, has her fiance away at Police School so I invited her over so she wouldn’t have to be alone on the day of love and let’s face the facts – I love cooking for people! Even more when they do the dishes after! I wanted to make a meal that was healthy, yet filling, delicious and relatively quick to make. I settled on a Mustard Dill Salmon, Scalloped Potatoes, a Fresh Greens Salad and Pavlova for dessert. This recipe is also a bit different in terms of BS in the Kitchen Recipes, because this is almost a full dinner menu. Continue reading

Well you can’t!

Homemade Potato Chips

Today I utilize another Christmas gift.

But this time, I am using the gift I gave to my parents, a Cuisinart Food Slicer. Maybe I am a bad son, or maybe just a little selfish, but as I purchased this item I began dreaming up all the wonderful food I could slice up and put on the blog! Setting my own greed aside, I hope my parents find their gift as useful as I do…

Anyways, onto the potato chips.
