Remember BS’ers, go into the kitchen with a bit of humor!!
Coffee Rubbed Steak and Sweet Potatoes
This was a recipe I came across a while ago in a Rachel Ray magazine and made the coffee rubbed steak but didn’t have any sweet potatoes on hand, so I knew I was going to be visiting it again! Little did I know I would be eating it two days in a row!
In an effort to impress my wonderful girlfriend I thought this would be a tasty little meal for our stay at home date, but unfortunately I had a little flare up on the barbecue and the steaks were dry! WORST NIGHTMARE. Fortunately we are still together after that catastrophe and Carlene’s camera wasn’t at home so I didn’t even have to worry about pictures for the blog.

Affogato al Caffe
As I was browsing through a Martha Stewart Living magazine (don’t judge me!) I came across a wonderful looking picture of this recipe and had to try it. Unfortunately I had none of the exact ingredients, but that has never stopped me! So substitutions were made and a delicious Affogato was had!

This little veggie bomb is surprisingly packed with taste, has a nice crunch to it and best of all, is very easy to make! Oh I guess I should mention it’s healthy too!

“Bach’n It With Bob” – Chicken Fried Rice
As of late this blog has been looking more like S’ In the Kitchen and that just isn’t quite as catchy as BS’ In The Kitchen, so here I am back with a new post and an exciting new series for all you bachelors out there: Bach’n It With Bob! I’ve been consumed by work so my cooking time is quite limited, therefore I will be posting a nice, quick and easy recipe that works great with leftovers.

Salmon & Tuna Spring Rolls (or Cold Rolls)
Cold Rolls are one of my favorite foods. Not only are they reasonably healthy because they are usually made out of rice, an assortment of veggies and a small amount of protein. Because of these simple, but tasty ingredients, cold rolls make for a great choice for those with a sensitive tummies or gluten allergies! Another bonus is that rice noodles and rice paper is ridiculously cheap – I think I spent tops $3 for the noodles and paper at Superstore.
